Released EIK as Apache Karaf Subproject

EIK is now a sub-project of Apache Karaf. This means that I'm an Apache Karaf committer now -- an exciting fact itself! I'm still waiting for the account at the Apache Software Foundation so I can't setup Continuous Integration and proper nightly builds.

In order to install this you must uninstall all previous versions of EIK.

In the meantime, here is a nightly build of the new code base:

EIK @ Apache 0.5 Nightly

* Edit - I had to fix the link to point to a correct distribution

  1. Hi Stephen, could you create an eclipse 3.7 compatible version? See issue http://code.google.com/a/eclipselabs.org/p/eik/issues/detail?id=5 .

    1. Hi! Yes, I'm looking at this now. I have a number of local code changes that have not made it in to a build. These changes should fix the Indigo problems.

  2. Great work Stephen! I really look forward to an eclipse juno (e4) enabled version of your plugin! Also, I would like to know if you plan to somehow make the pugin work together with a maven centric build process, e.g. tycho

Thanks agein for the great work!

  3. Thank you Stephen.
I downloaded this version. Please also write how to use it.
I assume that I should be able to see Karaf server in server console of eclipse to start with. I am not able to see the same
    Thank you
